Extraordinary Education
Principal’s message
It is a great privilege and a great responsibility to be entrusted with the care and education of our young people. These are the citizens, the parents, and the leaders of our future. Because their experiences at school have a massive impact on their lives as adults, I am fully aware that in educating today’s children we are creating the world of tomorrow.
In a world that unconsciously continues to control and limit the capacity of its people, we are proud to take a conscious stand on educating the whole of your child. My job is to create an environment that supports, inspires and nurtures each and every child so they may open to their own inherent greatness. That’s why we so carefully select our educators and meticulously plan our students’ personal learning programmes.
It would be my pleasure to show you the extraordinary education we have to offer your children at Seven Oaks.

The Seven Oaks Experience
Albert Einstein summarised education in one powerful sentence when he wrote that “Learning is experience, everything else is just information.”
It is our goal to provide the best possible education for tomorrow’s adults in today’s world. So we pay particular attention to the experiences that each student has through the variety of lessons and relationships they engage with each day.
The Seven Oaks learning experience focuses on 5 key principles:
Academic Success – has been the primary goal of state education for 130 years. Literacy and numeracy are fundamental tools in our economic community. They are as important in the Seven Oaks curriculum as they are in traditional top line schools.
Personal Empowerment – through our unique personal empowerment curriculum and highly participative school culture, Seven Oaks students will experience unprecedented levels of self awareness and balanced personal development. It is this focus that will lead to true empowerment in their adult lives.
Our arts curriculum, with its goal of self expression is sourced from this place of self reference and awareness.
Eco-literacy – recognises that the world around us, and life itself, is made up of innumerable, interconnected systems, from the sub-nano level through to the grand, universal level. Students will learn to see and consider the ‘big picture’ so they can gauge the effect of any isolated action on the wider environment.
It is this contemporary awareness of the systems of life that inspires our science curriculum.
Full Engagement Learning – is based on the awareness that students learn quickly and effectively, when they are truly engaged with a subject, because it is interesting to them or it leads to a desired outcome. Learning is individually tailored to each student, reflecting their unique interests, talents and challenges.
Nurturing Environment – is fundamental to the safety, receptiveness and happiness of students. Socially we provide a powerful combination of unconditional acceptance and clear behavioural boundaries. Physically, we provide a rich, natural environment to stimulate their senses
