Educators

Being an educator at Seven Oaks is a special career.  Although it is necessary to be a registered teacher, this is not a regular teaching role.

We are clear that educators are the single most important ingredient in successful education because of the great emotional impact they have on the lives of their students. The quality of the relationships, the atmosphere and the environments they create either enhance or reduce the availability and receptivity of each learner.

The intrinsic qualities that we look for in our educators are:

  • A deep desire and commitment to grow into their own holistic potential
  • The commitment to genuinely serve the growth and development of children at all levels of their being
  • Living in balance physically, emotionally, mentally and intuitively
  • Being self-aware, authentic, honest and spiritually open
  • Creativity, spontaneity, innovativeness and joyfulness
  • The ability to work in partnership with learners, colleagues, parents and the extended community
  • Understanding, identifying with, and upholding the values of Seven Oaks Education Centre

We welcome inquiries from interested teachers. Please email our Principal, Gaike Knottenbelt, to request an application package.

Volunteers

We are regularly approached by people who are inspired by the vision of Seven Oaks, and would like to assist in some way.

We welcome volunteers who would like to help in the maintenance of our school grounds, or who have a particular skill that they wish to offer to support the operation of our school.

Or maybe you have a particular talent that you could teach to our students.

Please contact our Principal, Gaike Knottenbelt by email or phone (377 8603).
